GEAN FENCE Opens New Automated Welded Mesh Production Line

Chengdu, Sichuan — January 2026 — GEAN FENCE has commissioned a new state-of-the-art automated welded mesh production line at our Sichuan manufacturing facility. The investment of ¥18 million (USD $2.5M) represents a significant step forward in our production capabilities.

New Capabilities

The new line features:

• Robotic welding cells: 6-axis robotic welders with precision wire feeding, producing consistent welds at 120 points per minute
• Automated mesh sizing: CNC cutting system handles panels from 0.5m × 1m to 3m × 6m without manual intervention
• In-line quality inspection: Machine vision cameras check every weld point for strength and alignment
• Automatic stacking and palletizing: Finished panels are stacked, banded, and wrapped without manual handling

Production Capacity

The new line brings our total welded mesh capacity to 15,000 square meters per day, up from 7,000 m²/day previously. This means:

• Standard orders ship within 7-10 business days (previously 15-20)
• Container-quantity orders (5,000+ m²) can be produced in a single run
• Custom mesh sizes and wire diameters with minimal setup time

Quality Improvements

Automation delivers measurable quality improvements:

• Weld shear strength consistency: ±3% (vs ±8% with manual welding)
• Mesh aperture tolerance: ±0.5mm (vs ±1.5mm previously)
• Panel flatness: ≤2mm deviation over 3m length
• Zero visible weld spatter on finished panels

Environmental Impact

The new line also reduces our environmental footprint: 30% reduction in electricity per m², HEPA fume extraction, and 98.5% wire scrap recovery rate.
